Delete your Spatchr data
In short
Email privacy@spatchr.com from your account address and your data is permanently deleted within 30 days. Export a backup first — deletion cannot be undone.
This page explains how to have your Spatchr account and its data permanently deleted, what that removes, and what is kept.
Before you start: take your data with you
Deletion is permanent. There is no undo and no backup we can restore you from afterwards.
Spatchr can produce a complete backup of your business — records and attached media — to a file you keep. Do that first: open Settings → Data, choose to back up, and save the file somewhere you control. It is worth doing even if you are certain, because the export costs a minute and the regret does not have a fix.
How to request deletion
There is no in-app delete button yet. Deletion is handled by request, and it is handled by a person.
Email privacy@spatchr.com from the email address on your Spatchr account, with the subject Delete my account. Sending from the account address is how we confirm the request is really yours; if you cannot, say so and we will verify another way rather than refuse.
Tell us whether you want:
- Everything — your account and every business you own, or
- One business you own, leaving your account and other businesses intact.
What happens next
- Within 3 business days we acknowledge the request and confirm what will be deleted. If you own a business with other members, we tell you what happens to their access before anything is removed.
- You confirm. Nothing is deleted until you reply. This is deliberate — a deletion request that arrives by mistake should not be self-executing.
- Within 30 days of your confirmation, the data is permanently removed from our production systems and from our provider’s storage.
What is deleted
- Your account and sign-in identity.
- Every business you own, and all of its records: contacts, properties, measured areas, territories, jobs, visits, line items, catalog services, pricing profiles, expenses, time entries, notes, tasks, interactions and documents.
- All photos and files attached to those records.
- Your memberships of businesses owned by other people.
What is kept, and why
We do not keep things for convenience. These are the exceptions, and each has a reason:
- Billing and tax records. Invoices and payment records we are legally required to retain. These are held by Stripe and by us for the period tax law requires, and they contain transaction details, not your business records.
- Records inside someone else’s business. If you were a member of a business you did not own, the work you did there — jobs you completed, notes you wrote — belongs to that business and stays with its owner. Your personal account and your membership are removed.
- Backups already taken. Encrypted backups roll off on their normal schedule, which is at most 90 days. Deleted data is not restored into production from them.
If you own a business with crew members
Deleting a business deletes the records everyone in it depends on, not just yours. Before we proceed we will confirm you understand that, and give you the option to transfer ownership to another member instead so their work is not destroyed alongside your account.
Deleting the app is not deleting your data
Uninstalling the Android app removes the copy on that device. It does not delete your account or the data synced to our cloud — reinstalling and signing in brings it all back. Use the process above if you want it gone.
